Shoji

The traditional Japanese method of creating shoji is to use a single panel with the paper on one side only.

For doors and larger panels, when viewed from both sides, it is necessary to have two panels clipped together, with the paper sandwiched in between. This allows access to the paper should it become damaged and need replacing. Shoji is easy to clean, simply pass the end of a low powered hoover across the face of the kumiko.
