Shoji

Shoji consists of a frame and lattice work panel of interwoven slats called kumiko. Although the kumiko look delicate, they become strong when constructed from carefully selected and pre-sanded timber, with precision half-lap joints.

Other timbers can be used, but I prefer maple for its colour, strength and sustainability.
